A column chart is a graphic representation of data. In this type of chart, the x-axis represents the categories and the y-axis represents a value for the categories. With this chart, the viewer can identify at a glance, high and low values across categories. For example, store with highest sales, number of incidents per month or units sold.
Union Gas, a Canadian gas distribution company, uses this chart to show your gas consumption in your last thirteen months.
